The other day I was in a store where I picked up a camera that I had always wanted. That same day I went and spent $400.00 of my own money on a camera that I had never owned before. I wasn’t in a rush to buy a new camera, and I wasn’t sure if I would ever get back in the habit of shooting photos.
Then I read an article about how to get rid of photo-shooting habits. It was about how to get yourself to stop shooting photos all the time, without feeling guilty about it. I know I’ve been guilty of keeping my phone in my pocket, but it was a way to take better pictures that had a lot less of a negative effect on my pocketbook.
I have no idea what the hell that article is talking about, but I feel like I have to agree that it might be a good idea to get yourself cleaned up before you start shooting again. I think it might be a good idea to start thinking about photography and taking better pictures from now on.
It’s not the first time I’ve had this experience. I used to think that pictures were just another form of advertising, and that if you took enough pictures that you could make a living out of it. But that just doesn’t seem to be the case. Even as a photographer I still feel that my clients don’t look like me. I’m aware that this is something that I’m not alone in feeling.
I know I don’t need to say anything more here. I know many others that feel exactly the same.
So I guess we should all just stop taking pictures for a little while, huh? Not that you should stop taking pictures, but maybe you should stop for a little while.
I have to say that I find the constant barrage of photos and Instagram posts at Krishna image more than a little annoying. I’m all for individuality and making a living, but the constant barrage of pictures seems to detract from that. There’s no way I can go to the same parties as my friends, and I don’t want to look down at my phone when I sit down to eat and read a book.
I get it. It’s hard for most of us to keep up with all the “fitness” trends and fads that are flooding the internet. But the problem is, we’re mostly talking about fads, not healthy habits. If you can’t keep up with the latest fashion, then you probably shouldn’t be going out in the first place.
That’s why we need healthy habits. If you really want to live a healthy lifestyle, you should strive for it. If you dont like exercising, then get off the couch and do something else. If you dont like eating healthy, then get off the couch and do something else. If you dont like watching scary movies, then get off the couch and do something else. If you dont like eating healthy, then get off the couch and do something else.
This, then, is the first step towards healthy habits. That means starting with a healthy diet. It also means making good use of your time. But more importantly, it means you are choosing what you do with your time, and not necessarily what things you want to do. For example, I am a huge fan of eating a healthy breakfast, so I’m always on the lookout for ways to eat healthier, rather than going out and buying healthy food.
