“How has your day been?”
I hear that question a lot, but I usually just say “fine.” Sometimes, it’s true. Other times, my life is falling apart and I’m trying to hold on. Maybe you’re in the same boat as me? The truth is, we’re not always doing well. Today might have been tough for you too–you may be feeling like everything is going wrong and there’s nothing you can do about it. But things will get better if you know how to handle the tough times.

It’s okay not to be doing well-you’re not alone! Let yourself feel whatever emotions are present in that moment and try to accept them so they don’t hold power over you for too long.
-Take care of your physical self by eating a healthy meal or taking time out for some relaxing exercise–your body needs good nutrition and movement in order to function properly.
If possible, take a break from work or study today even if only for an hour or two: go see a movie, visit with friends, or just take some time for yourself.
Write down a list of things you’re grateful for in your life and then try to find at least three new ways that you can express gratitude going forward.
It’s okay if it doesn’t happen right away!
it’ll come back again once the feelings pass through. But don’t forget how important it is to be kinder towards yourself when things are tough!
What do I think about my day?
It was pretty good so far! My boss gave me an award today because he noticed how hard I work each day and he appreciates what I’m doing for him every single day. He also says we have fun together which I think is nice. I’m feeling pretty good about that because it means he really likes working with me and appreciates how hard I work.
It’s been a long day, but we’re finally back home after being out all morning at the store so my boyfriend could buy some supplies for his job interview tomorrow. He says he’ll try to do as much research on them as possible before hand too so he can be prepared if they ask him any questions when he goes in for the interview. When we got home tonight, I made us both dinner – steak sandwiches! Afterwards, just like every night since our anniversary last month, we sat down together to watch one of our favorite TV shows from start to finish while eating ice cream sundaes.
It’s been a really great day today! I was feeling down earlier this morning because the weather outside is so gloomy and rainy, but my boyfriend cheered me up by surprising me with breakfast in bed while talking about how we’re going to celebrate our second anniversary next month even though it won’t be as big an occasion as last year since we weren’t able to get married or anything yet.
Hi! How are you? I’m doing fine today. Let’s chat for a bit 🙂
how has your day been
What have you been up to since we last talked?
How was your week and weekend? What did you do this past weekend that made it so great? What is one thing on your agenda for the next couple of weeks, or during the next few days/hours even if they’re not in sequential order (i.e., meeting with someone at noon tomorrow then going out tonight)?
Anything else happen worth mentioning recently and what were their consequences? Do anything fun over the last week or two like travel somewhere new or try something different from usual life routine?”
“I’ve had some fun over the last week or so.
I went to a movie with some friends and had dinner afterwards.”
“I made it through my first day at work today!”
“How did your weekend go?” “What have you been up to since we last talked? What are you looking forward to doing next?”
I hope you’re doing well. I’ve been really busy with work lately, and it’s been hard to find time for myself. When am I going to be able to set aside some time just for me?
how have you been
We can’t ever put ourselves last if we want things in our lives to go smoothly. Taking a little bit of the day every now and then, even if it’s only an hour or two every week or month can make a huge difference on my overall happiness level. What are your thoughts on this topic? Let me know below!
