You may think that Google Maps will always know where you are, but what if they don’t? If you spend any time at all outside of your home state, then it’s important to set up Google Alerts for specific keywords related to what is going on locally.
Here are four keywords that would make great alerts:

Google Alerts may not always be what you need for tracking what is happening in your area. There are plenty of other resources to track what’s going on, like Twitter and various news sources.

But first – what does that even look like? Well let me tell you what happened when I was feeling stuck… And maybe one day, through reading these words and following up on these resources, it won’t happen again for either one of us.
You are in the state of not knowing what should be done. You aren’t sure what you want, what your feelings are, what’s come next, or where to go from here. This is a common feeling and one that we all experience at times. There are some things that can help get out of this place though when it happens:
Imagine yourself walking down an unknown path; make choices about what direction to take (break up with him/her? Quit my job?)
Pick a destination point on the map and then walk towards it (what do I like doing for fun?). That feels better already!
Get something else off your mind by solving another problem first so there isn’t as much emotional
